OVERVIEW

R.Cole is a family-owned hemp company specializing in CBD products for people and pets. They grow, extract, and package the hemp themselves, which provides a vertically integrated process. This means integrity in their products and truly small batch manufacturing. Their love of the cannabis plant and its properties was evident, so we were honored to be a creative partner and trusted with their branding. As a new business, this project began with a logo design and included branding and packaging design.

CHALLENGE

The brand name was inspired by something the founders would find themselves saying dozens of times per day, “Our Cole,” which was reference to their beloved dog. While Cole was integral in the naming of the company, the founders wanted an elevated, classy look for their luxury CBD brand. In addition, with the saturation of hemp and CBD products on the market, there was a need to distinguish the brand and set it apart from other companies.

SOLUTION

To create a refined brand, we used black, off-white and a metallic copper along with simple and beautiful icons. Clean lines and precise angles were utilized with small, but intentional imperfections to create a luxury brand with an organic feel, inspired by the jagged edges of the hemp leaf. This sophisticated look was then carried throughout their packaging and marketing. From the start of the project, the co-founders of R.Cole trusted our expertise and remained open during the discovery process and the end result is a beautiful brand that furthers their mission to support the well-being in all living beings.
